Cooking in the kitchen

What a monkey our daughter is: every time we turn around she's into something different and today it seemed to be the coffee table! I lost count of the number of times I took her off! She likes to get up close to the TV and on the coffee table seems to be the best way!

Owen and I have been doing some cooking over the weekend, trying out some new concoctions, such as a sausage casserol (which he nearly even enjoyed before daddy told him the meat in it was sausage and then all we heard was "Sausages hurt Owies Tummy"....) and tonight for the first time Salt and Pepper squid. Crazily in this country while you will pay more than $20 a kg for fish of any variety, even the boring stuff, you can get squid tubes for $10 a kg or less so this might be a new fish meal for us because Imogen and Owen both really enjoyed it with some of Mummy's awesome fried rice! The photos with flour are Owen helping prepare he squid and with donkey ears is on the weekend... We're hoping Preschool this week goes off a little easier for Owen and we can't wait for Granny and Papa to be here Friday.

Bedtime stories with Daddy tonight. Lovely flanny pjs from Judi and Lawrence. Lit the fire tonight for the first time: roastie toastie in our living room tonight.

Cooking together :)
He is very good at the milk-flour-shake process, apart from the whole mess factor :)

M-O-N-K-E-Y !!!
What... me??
