Off to the land of sheep...

Well, finally we have heard the news and we are excited to be moving COUNTRIES next year, to live and work in Palmerston North, New Zealand! With this good news in hand, hopefully this blog will become much more active for us with regular updates and photos and contact details.

All we know at this stage is we will probably start over there at the end of January 09 so we will move some time in mid January to get settled.

No address or those sorts of finer details as yet! Palmerston North is the main congregation where Lee will be working, with Fielding as well in the Parish. A few data points from GOOGLE:

• Palmerston North has about 78,000 people.
• It has great climate for NZ: less harsh cold, less rain. Average temps in Summer are low 20's. Only gets over 25 on 20 days of the year. I think we'll be stocking up on genuine ugg products!
• It's known widely as a Uni town and has no beach (Angie thought this was important info!)
  
  In other news, Owen is walking these days and generally cheeky and into mischief. He still loves going to church and playgroup and hanging out at the kindy playing in the playground and on the equipment. He certainly will miss Salisbury (as will Lee and I).

I am about 18 weeks pregnant now with our second baby and we are looking forward to an ultrasound next week to find out the sex of this bundle of joy. I have enjoyed a relatively sickness free pregnancy thus far and feel great, so lets hope that continues!!

Lee has only 4 weeks left of Sem, then graduation and ordination and some holidays with the grandies no doubt so if you are looking for us in December, probably best to try the Valley at the parentals.

Anyway, I'm off to start some random packing tasks before our continuing onslaught of visitors over for tea to catch up with people before we're out of time...
