Christmas Celebrations!

Hi all who read our regular blogging! We have had a wonderful Christmas with Nanna and Pop (and unfortunately for everyone except Imogen, many many duck park visits!). We have had a great hot glazed ham for Christmas Day cooked expertly by Nanna and Anna who had both NEVER done this before but have a new found excitement for the skill - the meat was just BEAUTIFUL!. We enjoyed prawns and roast potatoes and sweet potatoes, salad and beets and Pavlova made by Betty (she does it the BEST! it was her Christmas present to Lee!). We had frozen Neish with caramello and violet crumble and our ginger bread house (which we are STILL eating!).
The kids were spoilt silly with gifts from family and friends in Australia and New Zealand and I have oly just started to find homes for everything. We think Owen's favourite gift came from Imogen - a hot wheels car set that 'zooms and shots' the cars out. Imogen loves all her dollies and the dolly bottles with juice and milk from Santa, and her cleaning set from Granny and Papa - although her own pink Ukelele is pretty cool too from Nanna and Pop... They both got new bikes from Mum and Dad - although Owen likes Imogen's Dora trike better than his new 2 wheeler with traiing wheels because he can ride Imogen's trike, but is still learning his big bike! He'll get the hang of it soon (if the weather improves and Mum and co can help him get on it a bit more!).
We're hanging out for our date night for New Years (Lee's 30th Birthday present from Nanna and Pop) and our holiday to Taupo in January when Danae and Brad will be with us - hard to believe that is still a good week and a half away. Nanna and Pop have already been here for nearly a week, but we're glad we have nearly 3 more weeks with them yet. Imogen has been thriving while they are here, saying everyone's names as much as she can and crying for Nanna nanna nanna, rather than Mummy every time - what a nice change!!! Yay for Nanna!!
Will post some photos soon. but the internet connection is very slow here today - I guess with the weather everyone is inside and uploading or down loading and the weather sometimes plays havoc with connection and electricity things too... hopefully some photos soon though!
