Big day out

Well, what a day we have had- firstly, I got a sleep in (YAY!) and then we went shopping! We took a trip to Otaki where there are a lot of Factory Outlet shops, with the prime purpose of looking for a few pairs of jeans for Owie with adjustable waists (he is just so skinny but has long legs - a total Bec!). We had a lovely look around, and morning tea and lunch at a supurb cafe with a nice little kids play space, open fire and great coffee. This morning it was soooo cold, and low and behold there was SNOW on the mountains out our back door! There is a picture of some of the snow below and I'll post some footage from our car drive later (hopefully!).
Owie got some new Ugg boots today - so cute. They are just perfect and hopefully will fit for a while. He is so happy getting around the house in them which makes a good change seeing as he still seems quite under the weather with his ear infection.
We had Imogen dressed in her Winnie the Pooh snow bunny suit again today (to combat the cold) and she is still too cute. There was a beautiful rainbow out when we were driving to Otaki, as the sun began to shine and the temperature climbed thankfully from 4 degrees. We could take in the entire rainbow arch, start to finnish, as we drove along. Unfortunately through the rain I couldn't get a decent picture of the whole thing.
In other news, Owen has got very good at brushing his Owen teeth and wants to do them at least 3 times a day which is at least one too many... Imogen likes to hold onto things and shake rattles, but can't pick them up on her own yet. Lee is very busy with church business as usual, and I'm keeping myself entertained with a few craft projects and looking after the kids and avoiding housework (like my mother aparently according to her facebook page!). Enjoy the footage!

You know you're a church in mission when... your church signage gets graffiti-d with GODZILLA... This is the sign at Highway Baptist - Otaki (said Oh - Tack - Ee ... in case you're interested in pronounciation).
