Then we went off to Mark and Leanne Whitfield's place so that they could catch up with Ben and Kim quickly, before heading home at about quarter to 6. It was a long day for us all really, but very enjoyable, seeing as Owen fell asleep on both car trips, and then went straight to bed when we got home as well, sleeping for 13 hours that night! Praise the Lord!
The Baptism went very well and we enjoyed a smorgasboard of a lunch at Judi and Lawrence Satherley's place afterwards- over catered as all Lutheran functions are! We ate and drank and were merry until we had to shoot off to Fielding for the 5pm service. Owie was still napping so he stayed with Judi and Lawrence until we picked him up just after 7. He was such a good boy for them and only looked for me a bit; it is encouraging to know that he likes and trusts a few good people, and that he is willing to stay with them occasionally - it really helps us out!
We were all pretty tired after another long day, so today has just been spent sleeping in and relaxing this morning, a spot of Mah Jong over lunch while the kids slept, and then some shopping and seeing the city centre this afternoon for Ben and Kim. Lee's back to work tomorrow, and this week has Church Workers conference Wednesday through Friday, then Synod on Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully he doesn't need to preach but there are many other responsibilities for him. We will take a trip down to Masterton staying in a parishoners holiday house after synod for a couple days away with Ben and Kim which will be nice.
When I work out how to upload footage off te video camera I'll put it on here, but until then, here are a few photos from the day.
